A chrysanthemum show is set to open at Huilongtan Park in Jiading district, Shanghai on Oct 26.

The show was held every year between 1988 and 1997. During that decade, it displayed more than 600,000 pots of chrysanthemum and attracted 1.5 million Chinese and foreign visitors.

After disappearing for 18 years, the show returned last year, which has excited local residents. This year's show will continue its mission of entertaining visitors.

Different varieties of chrysanthemums will be on display around the main venue, Huilongtan Park, as well as two sub-venues, Bole Square and Qiuxia Garden. The flowers will also be arranged into different shapes and images to make them look more attractive.

According to organizers, the show aims to introduce the district's tourism resources to more people and promote the further development of its tourism sector.
