The Juyuan Cultural Center, Jiading district of Shanghai played host to an exhibition on art works created by young Japanese students of the city of Yao on April 25, local media reported.
About 20 pieces of works have been displayed at the exhibition. The works all focus on the themes of friendship, contact and happiness, showing the young people's wishes for love and world peace.

According to the organizers, the exhibition will run until May 8, which aims to help enhance friendly exchanges between the two sides.
The friendly relations between Jiading and the city of Yao can date back to 1981. And the two places signed the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation on Sept 13, 1986. Then, the two formally established a sister-city relationship on May 15, 1993.
