To alleviate the difficulties of local kids getting enrolled in schools, authorities in Jiading town, Jiading district of Shanghai recently announced that a new secondary school will start construction in the town from early 2016, local media reported on Jan 7.

The new school is located in the north area of the town and is expected to complete construction within one and a half years.
Officials said that with total investment of 58.7 million yuan ($8.9 million), the school will cover a combined floor area of over 12,000 square meters. It will consist of teaching buildings, office buildings, laboratories, science buildings and dining halls.
When it is completed, the school plans to set up 20 classes and enroll 900 students from communities in north Jiangqiao, said the school leader.

To ensure the students to receive better education, it will hire 50 top faculty members and house advanced teaching facilities, added the leader.
In addition, the authorities mentioned that a kindergarten and a primary school are also under construction in Jiangqiao.
The kindergarten is situated at the town's Jiayuguan Road and covers a floor area of nearly 6,000 square meters. It plans to have 15 classes and is expected to complete construction in June.
The primary school is slated to boast 30 classes and complete its construction in June, 2017.
