Over 120 experts from 12 top research institutes and universities from China brainstormed the latest trend and development, and research achievements of the technology.
The two-day event included 53 keynote speeches and group discussions on topics such as interaction between high-intensity laser and matter, leading laser technologies, laser materials and detecting techniques.
With the aim of promoting mutual exchanges and development, the annual symposium, sponsored by the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics and the Research Center of Laser Fusion of China Academy of Engineering Physics had begun in 2012.
This year, it was opened to all the country's research institutes and universities with the aim to facilitate cooperation and exchanges among the nation's young scientists. And the symposium was also to inspire innovation to drive the further development of the country's laser technologies.
