Representatives of Chinese and foreign auto and components enterprises, scholars and industrial experts attended the event and discussed the transformation of the traditional auto industry, smart-connected cars, vehicle energy saving, and environmental protection. The three-day event included two symposiums on auto technologies, three academic forums, 38 sub-forums with various themes, and some trial drive activities.

An award named after Rao Bin (1913-1987), China's father of the auto industry, was announced at the opening ceremony. Li Gang and Chen Zutao, representatives of the first generation working in China's auto sector, received the award.

The organizers also set up a 10,000-square-meter technology exhibition area to display advanced auto products such as energy-saving and environment-friendly vehicles, engines, transmissions, power systems, electronic devices and testing equipment. It is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors.
