Guyi Garden in Jiading district of Shanghai organized various activities featuring the traditional Chinese culture during the National Day holiday, Oct 1-7, known as the "golden week" for travellers in China.

Performers dressed up in ancient Chinese costumes vividly presented a series of historical stories to take visitors back to the ancient time. Artists of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Art Troupe of Shanghai Armed Police gave excellent performances including singing, dancing, acrobatics and magic shows.

While masters of the Shanghai Flower Art and Arrangement Association combined modern flower arrangement with classical garden landscape, which showed the integration of traditional culture and today's fashion. Moreover, visitors were charmed by the traditional Chinese opera performances inside the garden.
According to local officials, it is estimated that those cultural activities attracted a total of 70,000 visitors during the holiday.
