Schools in Jiading district of Shanghai organized various activities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the end of World War II on Sept 1, taking these as the first lesson of the new semester.
The activities aim at teaching teenagers to remember the lessons of history, to respect the revolutionary martyrs and learn their spirit, and to cherish the hard-earned peace.

The Loutang School, a nine-year school in Jiading Industrial Zone, took students to a monument to the Loutang guerrilla and also made them watch a micro film based on the story of this guerrilla against Japanese aggression.
The Fengbang Primary School in Jiangqiao town organized a lecture on stories of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression to inform students about the bravery of Chinese soldiers and also inculcate patriotism in them.
Other activities such as class meetings were also launched by other schools in Jiading.
