Elderly care offered in Jiading

Nearly 10,000 senior citizens in Nanxiang, Jiading district will be offered free health check-up over the next two months.

Registered permanent residents over 60 years old in Nanxiang are eligible for the free check-up, which includes blood pressure measurement, eyetests, cataracts screening, routine blood tests, routine urine tests, fasting glucose levels, and others.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physicians will be invited to give lectures on health care after the check-up.

Moreover, Nanxiang's community healthcare service center will send buses on a regular basis to pick up old people who live in remote villages. Medical staff and volunteers will escort the elderly to ensure their safety on the road.
