Four historical sites in Jiading district are expected to be added to the city's list of outstanding historical sites.
The four historical sites are the half-century-old Huilongtan Park near the Confucius Temple, the Jiading Villa, a former private house built in 1942, the area surrounding Nanxiang Twin Towers and a cathedral located on No 99, Zhongxiatang street.
Shanghai Municipal Housing Support and Building Administrative Bureau has recently released a new list of 419 sites that could be ranked as outstanding historical sites, asking the public to send their ideas and suggestions on the list before April 2. The final list will be decided after considering the public's feedback.
So far, the city has 632 historical sites, involving 2,138 outstanding historical buildings and an overall construction area of about 4 million square meters.
