A power switch and charge station for e-cars recently went into operation in Anting, Shanghai's Jiading district. It is the first power station for electric buses integrating the functions of charging, discharging and energy storage in the city.
The station currently provides power for the 15 e-buses of Anting Bus Line 1, which can charge 132 battery boxes at the same time. It is also equipped with automatic facilities, which can accurately position the battery box and ensure reliability and safety when loading and unloading the battery boxes.
An e-bus can run 120 to 150 kilometers when fully charged. According to the station, it takes about eight minutes for an e-bus to switch the battery, and about three hours to fully charge an e-bus. Thanks to the station, the utilization rate of the e-buses has been greatly improved.
