The Shanghai Kaiquan Pump Group, in the Jiading district of Shanghai, stood out recently from thousands of manufacturers and research institutes, at the 7th Chinese IUR Cooperative Innovation Meeting, and walked away with the Chinese IUR Cooperative Innovation award for 2013.
The Kaiquan Group’s scientific and technological innovation strengths were the key to its win, especially its nuclear heat pump, made in cooperation with the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute, and its hydraulic model development project in cooperation with Jiangsu University, and a high-temperature salt pump for a strategic pilot project of CAS’s SINAP.
This year, Kaiquan expects to increase cooperation with universities and research institutes, and innovation efforts with partners and to work closer with Jiangsu, Tsinghua, and Jiaotong universities on hydraulics development, pump calculation and large water diversion pumps, and through an IUR partnership and industrial technology innovation alliance, make full use of its advantages and technology innovations, see some technology breakthroughs.
