When Shanghai’s Jiading Industrial Zone let the curtain fall on its 5th Art Festival, on Nov 14, it did it with style, with the locals and enterprise staff in the industrial zone putting on attractive song, dance, opera, violin, and other performances.
The Jiading event lasted nine months and was able to encompass 62 competitions of various kinds such as painting, photography, calligraphy, dance, and singing, with around 10,000 people taking part. And, for the closing ceremony, the deputy head of the district, Li Yuan, was on hand to hand out the awards to the winners.
Some of the lucky candidates were recommended to the organizers of Shanghai’s first Citizens Art Festival and won six city-level prizes and 77 district prizes.
