A performance featuring Changdao Yuhao, songs sung by local fishermen, was staged in Changdao Island on June 9.
The song is as a means of synchronizing movements when fishermen are performing manual labor. In 2008, the song, which has a history of 380 years, was designated a national intangible cultural heritage.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the show on June 9 touched on how Changdao Island was liberated with the help of the CPC.
