Yantai rich in cultural relics and ICH

Yantai, the main host city for the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day celebrations in Shandong province, boasts a long history and rich culture.
The city has 22 key national cultural relic protection units and 110 provincial cultural relic protection units.
It is also home to 14 national intangible cultural heritage items, including Haiyang yangko (a rural folk dance popular in Haiyang), woolen embroidery, and Yantai paper-cutting.
Yantai paper-cutting was also included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
