Shandong Linglong Tire Co in Yantai, a coastal city in Shandong province, donated medical supplies to Serbia on March 25 to help the local government in its fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

The supplies include 300,000 disposable medical surgical masks, 2,000 sets of protective medical clothing and 10,000 novel coronavirus (COVID-19 ) test kits.

Linglong Tire, headquartered in Zhaoyuan, a county-level city in Yantai, has established close cooperative relations with Serbia in recent years.

On March 30, 2019, the company built its second overseas factory in Serbia. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended the opening ceremony and made a welcome speech.

As an important foreign investment project in Serbia, the factory will offer 1,200 jobs to locals, which will help the company to further expand its market in Europe and surrounding areas and also promote local economic development.

Since the construction of the project, Linglong Tire has been actively fulfilling its corporate responsibilities and giving back to the local government and people.

The cultural integration between the two sides has been strengthened through sponsoring local events including the Serbian Superliga and chess tournament in Serbia.
