The 12th International Terroir Wine Expo Yantai China will be held over June 29 and 30 in Yantai, in Shandong province, founded in 2008.

This year's wine expo in Yantai themed "Open, Integration and Share"is launching a new logo and will feature a 30,000 square meters' exhibition with separate areas for France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Chile and Chinese producing areas.

Wang Zhong, the vice-mayor of Yantai, said at the press conference held in Beijing on Tuesday that with the expo -- which was launched in 2008 - Yantai is building a platform for both domestic and international wines,

He further said that Yantai had attracted many wine companies to set wineries there, and at the same time, Yantai was also a major importer of wines from all over the world.

In 2018, the amount of wine produced in Yantai comprised 40 percent of the national wine output.
