Updated : 2018-05-18
Changyu Wine Group, a Yantai-based wine producer, was ranked among the top 100 Chinese brands in a recent list released at the 2018 China Brand Evaluation Press Conference held in Shanghai.
Hosted by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the China Council for Brand Development, the forum determined the value of 718 brands from 1,346 enterprises in different sectors and listed the 100 most valuable Chinese brands.
The 125-year-old company from Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, has the 58th most valuable Chinese brand with a value of 23.75 billion yuan, according to the list.
Changyu Wine Group boasts a long history in China's wine industry. The brand is sold in all key European markets including Russia, where its Château Changyu Moser XV Cabernet Sauvignon has proved a sell-out success. It also has made inroads into high-end wine markets in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Russia and the US.
