The "Prospect for Source of Beauty—Chinese Landscape Painting Exhibition of Wei Dezhang" was inaugurated on Oct 29 at the Shandong Provincial Cultural Center in Jinan.

Some 110 Chinese landscape paintings, all produced by Wei Dezhang, are on display. The paintings express his heartfelt praise for the beautiful motherland, as well as eulogize life and the good of humanity.

Jointly sponsored by the Chinese National Academy of Arts, China Artists Association and Shandong Artists Association, the exhibition will last until Nov 3.

More than 30 distinguished guests from Shandong provincial government and cultural communities attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, at which Wei also donated some of his paintings to the Shandong Provincial Cultural Center.

Wei Dezhang, born in 1957 in Yantai, is a member of China Artists Association and is adept at Chinese-style painting.
