The 13th Readers Festival hosted by the Yantai Daily Media Group will have its grand opening on Oct 15, at the Cultural Center Square of Yantai, East China's Shandong province.

All media subsidiaries under the Yantai Daily Media Group, along with their editors and journalists, will take part in the festival and have face-to-face communication with readers, giving them the chance to listen to readers' feedback and recommendations.

A series of activities will take place during the festival, including artistic performances, interactive games and award-wining quizzes, in a bid to bridge the void between readers and editors.

The Yantai Daily Media Group, which owns television stations, newspapers, magazines and other types of media publications, is a well-respected company with a long history. As one of its newspapers, the Yantai Daily was first published in September 1945.
