Well-known painters from southeast China's Taiwan displayed their artwork at an exhibition held at the Shandong Art Museum on Mar 5.
The exhibition is aimed at promoting cross-Straits cultural exchanges. A total of 85 ink and oil paintings were on show, featuring various subjects and styles, including western oil paintings, abstract oil paintings and Chinese landscapes.
Co-sponsors of the exhibition were the Shandong Art Museum and the Chan Liu Art Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. The two museums have made concerted efforts to increase communication between artists across the Straits, having co-held three painting and calligraphy exhibitions since 2013.
