Dong Wei, deputy director of China's Ministry of Culture, called on artists to create more artistic works with high international impact in order to inspire people's spiritual lives. He made this call during his visit to the Shandong Acrobatic Troupe and Shandong Art Museum on Dec 9.

Dong stated that acrobatic art as a treasure for traditional Chinese culture plays an important role in spreading Chinese culture and customs all across the world.

During his visit to a joint exhibition by five painting academies in Shandong Art Museum, Dong also advised artists to strengthen their communications about art creation and that they should persist in creating works reflecting peoples' lives.
