A thief returned a wallet containing more than 4,000 yuan ($642) to its owner after realizing that the cash had been collected to pay for medical treatment to save a patient's life. The thief, calling himself a "moved sinner", wrote a letter to the owner in which he said he will give up stealing and seek a job in his hometown. He returned the wallet via the media in Yantai.
