A delegation, led by Wen Dongxin, mayor of Kunsan city of South Korea, and Chen Xihuan, Kunsan's speaker, paid a visit to Yantai from October 26 to 30. They participated in the 20th anniversary celebration for the establishment of sister city relations between Yantai and Kunsan.

A meeting was held to allow both sides to evaluate the achievements made in the fields of culture, education and sports over the past two decades. During the meeting, the two sides signed an understanding memorandum on establishing economic partnership.

During the visit, the two parties also held various exchange activities on economy and trade, culture, tourism, medical treatment, calligraphy, fine arts and photography, and art performances.
