The Shandong Foreign Expert Affairs Administration recently hired 128 foreigners in fields related to marine industries and signed 91 cooperation agreements in activities that were held in Shandong province's cities of Qingdao, Dongying and Yantai, in hopes of solving their technical problems.
The foreign experts work in the areas of marine resources, zoology equipment manufacturing, chemistry, modern fishing, construction, environmental protection, mineral exploration, and marine culture tourism. Coming from 25 countries, including the Unites States, Japan and Germany, they all have master's degrees. A total of 63 of them are professors and senior researchers, and 13 have led a key research organization abroad.
Enterprises including Haier Group and Hisense Group were given priority in the activities to seal cooperation agreements with expatriates, multi-national enterprises and foreign research organizations.
