The First Jinan International Kite Festival will be held on April 30, offering tourists a chance to see kites of all shapes taking to the air.

The festival, which will run until May 4, is to gather professional kite performers from Germany, Malaysia and the United States to showcase their flying skills.

A series of cultural and tourist events, such as kite flying performances, kite exhibitions and kite DIY activities, will also be held to promote tourism in Jinan, and that's not even mentioning the world-record-breaking 6,500-meter-long kite which will make its debut at the festival.
