Silk Road based acrobatic show to debut in Shandong
The Shandong Acrobatic Troupe will launch its latest show themed around the ancient Silk Road on June 8 in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.
Titled "Happy Songs on the Silk Road", the show, part of the Shandong's young artist support program, is choreographed by Zhang Xinwen, a 32-year-old seasoned performer at the Shandong Acrobatic Troupe.
Speaking of the original intention of the play, Director Zhang Hong said that the Silk Road spirit is a bastion of human civilization which embodies many of humanity's best qualities, such as openness, and cooperation. Zhang added that the show portrays the history of the ancient Silk Road and traditional Chinese culture from a modern perspective.
The 70-minute show, featuring exciting acrobatic tricks, is orchestrated with a wonderful story layout, perfect stage design and enchanting stage music.
Show time: 7:30 pm, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from June 8 to July 1
