Qingdao city, Shandong province has planned to open a business incubator for textile enterprises, and it will be ready in less than two months, according to a report by Qingdao Daily on March 27.
The incubator, named "Textile Valley" and located in the Shibei district, will be spread out in an area of 100,000 sq m, enough for up to 500 companies. The first phase of the project will be put into operation as early as mid of May, said the Human Resources and Social Security bureau.
The incubation park will open to textile-related businesses ranging from textile design, development and trades to color-matching. In the park, entrepreneurs can also get specialized training and enjoy services such as professional instruction and financing. To date, over 100 firms have registered for settling down.
Shibei authorities also said that they plan to set up at least six hacker spaces (a community-operated workspace where people with common interests can meet, socialize and collaborate) in the district by the end of this year.
