The 16th Yantai Municipal People's Congress begins

Yantai delivered a strong performance in its 12th Five Year Plan. Its GDP grew at an average annual rate of 10 percent, and exceeded 600 billion yuan ($92 billion) in the past five years. The GDP reached 644.61 billion yuan ($98.88 billion) in 2015, which means that the per-capita GDP in Yantai has been 1.6 times than it in five years ago, reaching middle-income countries' level.

The 16th Yantai Municipal People's Congress begins

In the past five years, Yantai's per capita disposable income of urban residents has reached 35,907 yuan ($5,508), rising 10.6 percent on annual average and rural residents reached 15,540 yuan (2,378), rising 12.8 percent on annual average.
