The Shandong Library, a provincial-level public library in the city of Jinan, is holding various activities for readers in December, which has been designated as a "Reading Month" for Shandong since 2000.

In the Reading Month, readers can participate in nearly 100 activities, including calligraphy exhibitions, learning Chinese classics and watching welfare videos.

One library official said, "Reading can satisfy residents' cultural needs. We hope that the reading month motivates residents to pay more attention to reading and love it."
