More than 70 great works of all time Chinese master painters have been displayed at the art museum in Yantai, Shandong province from Dec 2. The exhibition will run till 21.
The works are from 60 famous artists including Xu Beihong (1895-1953) known for Chinese ink paintings of horses and birds, and Qi Baishi (1864-1957) well-known for his whimsical and often playful painting style.
Yuan Dayi, former dean of Yantai Fine Art Academy said about the exhibition, "Every single work is worth watching, since most are the master pieces of the great painters China has ever have." He even suggested that young painters can get inspiration from the works being displayed at the museum.
