The coastal city of Yantai, Shandong province has been honored as one of the best summer resorts in China in 2015. Kunming and Guizhou are the two other cities honored along with Yantai, according to a report on China's summer tourism development.
The report was released by the China Tourism Academy and CMA Public Meteorological Service Center at China Summer Tourism Industry Summit in Kunming, Yunnan province on Sept 24.
The report ranked 70 Chinese summer resorts according to their temperature, landscape, tourist satisfaction and comprehensive risk degree.
Integrating its featured gold, fishing and wine industries, Yantai has developed five summer tourism products covering culture, seashore, wine, village and leisure. In addition, the tourism app and website are aimed at facilitating visitors' tour in Yantai.
After publishing of the report, Zhang Cong, head of Yantai tourism bureau, said about the bureau's future plan, "We have invited media groups and travel agencies from around the country to raise Yantai's tourism profile across the country. We have also planned to enhance promotion in the overseas countries."
