The coastal city of Qingdao, in eastern China's Shandong province, saw fruitful results from its participation in the Autumn/Winter 2015 Hong Kong Fashion Week on Jan 19-22. The positive result from the week-long event, which was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, was partly down to high-end apparel from the city's local enterprises, the Qingdao government has announced.
The city's Overseas Investment Service Center organized 14 local enterprises to take part in the fashion week and obtained large numbers of intended export agreements worth $3.2 million in a short period of time.
The biannual Hong Kong Fashion Week, sponsored by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, has been held for 23 consecutive years and is considered to be a prominent trendsetter, attracting tens of thousands business people and visitors from around the world to the 40,000-square-meter exhibition area. |
