Chen Xianyun, mayor of Linyi, said the expo is a strategic platform for Linyi to open its market to the world by linking domestic trade with foreign trade. It has an exhibition area of 160,000 square meters and is divided into eight sections: import goods, woodwork, machinery and equipment, home appliances, logistics, hardware, lighting equipment, organic agricultural products and handicrafts.
Wu Changli, director of the Linyi municipal bureau of commerce, said that the expo is international, with 660 booths for foreign exhibitors, 138 more than last year. It also received 15 delegations from overseas governments.
