“The Flying Soul” – a bird photography exhibition – was held at the Botanic Garden in Qingdao, as part of the International Horticultural Exposition, on September 3.

Eighteen local photography enthusiasts showed off 128 of their works featuring birds.

Sun Gongsan, a photographer, rendered his work of a terek sandpiper, a small migratory Palearctic wader species. “Taking photos of birds is demanding both physically and mentally. Good luck is also necessary because splendid scenes seldom happen twice. ” Sun added “I hope more and more people will appreciate nature through this photography exhibition at Qingdao Expo.”

The exhibition was jointly organized by Qingdao Expo executive committee and the Qingdao Wild Life Conservation Association.
