420 hectares of exposed soil in Qingdao city to be forested

According to the Qingdao urban-rural development committee, the city will further promote the city's forestation and improve the biological environment in its urban area, Qingdao Daily reported on March 2.

A total of 420 hectares of exposed soil in Qingdao city is expected to be forested. Key greening landscapes will also be established under the bridges of Heilongjiang Road and Binhai Road, as well as the Jiushui Road overpass bridges. Greening and roads in 555 communities will be upgraded and reconstructed.

Additionally, Qingdao will strengthen city management and enhance city livability. Thirteen roads, seven lanes and 10 circulation road domains will be upgraded. A city street light maintenance management model to create full coverage and a seamless grid will be established. The management of outdoor advertising will be strengthened and standardized.
