Pleasant weather expected for National Day holiday

Shandong will experience agreeable weather for this year’s National Day holiday and Mid-Autumn Festival, with little precipitation and temperatures slightly lower year-on-year, according to the forecast made by the Shandong Meteorological Bureau. But the province will receive a strong cold air on October 5.

Detailed temperature forecasts for the holiday period are as follows:

October 1: a weak cold air will affect Shandong. The weather in the province’s northwest region and the peninsula will turn from cloudy to overcast, with partial showers and cloudy weather in remaining areas. From north to south, wind levels will be Grade 5-6 in the sea areas and Grade 2-3 in the inland areas. Temperature highs in the inland and coastal areas are expected to hit 26℃ and 24℃ respectively.

October 2: the weather will turn from cloudy to fair. North wind—Grade 5-6 in sea areas and Grade 2-3 inland. The highest temperatures will be 26 ℃ and 23 ℃ respectively in the inland and coastal regions.

October 3: the weather will turn from fair to slightly cloudy. North to south winds—Grade 4-5 in sea areas and Grade 2-3 inland.

October 4: the weather will turn from fair to overcast, with partial showers in the northwest and mid-north regions. South wind—Grade 5-6 in sea areas and Grade 3 inland.

October 5: a strong cold air will affect Shandong, bringing rainy and cloudy weather to the entire province. North wind—Grade 6-7 in sea areas with a gust up to Grade 8, Grade 4 inland.

October 6: cloudy with temporary fair weather. North wind—lowering from Grade 6-7 to Grade 5-6 in sea areas, Grade 2-3 inland.

October 7-8: the weather will turn from fair to slightly cloudy. North wind—Grade 5-6 in sea areas and Grade 2-3 inland.
