Over 50 thousand guests and business people from home and abroad are expected to participate in the Third Yantai International Wine Festival in Yantai, East China’s Shandong province. The three-day event kicked off on September 23.
Federico Castellucci, Director General of the International Organization of Vine and Wine, was on hand for the opening. He delivered a speech wishing the new festival great success as a forum for technical and constructive exchange, fair and sustainable trade and friendly encounters.
The Festival boasts more than 500 booths, 112 belonging to overseas companies, which will be divided into several different sections including imported wine, domestic wine, brewing processes and means of production. Strengths of the national and international wine industry will be highlighted, as well as the Festival’s goal to build a reputation among Chinese and foreign consumers.
More than 20 activities are scheduled to be held during the Festival, encompassing cultural, economic and trade talks, wine tastings and wine cultural tours.
The International Wine Industry Development Forum and the Leading Wine Enterprises Summit, which focus on issues like the sustainable development of the wine industry and the international wine trade, will also be held during the Festival.
