A/H1N1 flu hits schools in Shandong

More A/H1N1 influenza cases have been reported in east China’s Shandong province.

According to local health authorities, Qingdao Technological University confirmed 16 A/H1N1 cases on September 5. The patients are in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment at the Qingdao Chest Hospital.

Nine confirmed flu cases were reported in Wangcun Middle School in Jimo City. The patients, all students of the school, are reported to be in a stable condition.

Ten students at Taishan Dongyue Middle School in Taian city were also confirmed as having contracted A/H1N1 flu; they are being quarantined and treated at the Taian Hospital of Infectious Disease.
