Qingdao: Hundreds of the world’s leading enterprises and local businesses, including LG, Simont, AO Smith, Sunlight Saunas as well as Haier Estate and Changji Properties, will travel to Qingdao, Shandong province on August 28 for the 2009 Real Estate & Archi-Tech Fair.
The three-day “New traffic, New City and New Life” themed event will be held at the Qingdao Convention Center in cooperation with the Qingdao Municipal Construction Commission, the Planning Bureau and the Bureau of Land and Resources..
“It [the fair] will work as an intermediary agent between the on-site businesses and various levels of consumers, involving the high-end and average customers who favor villas and general housings respectively,” Hu Shaojun, deputy mayor of Qingdao, said in a speech delivered at the opening ceremony.
Renovation projects that have been carried out within the four municipal districts-Shinan, Shibei, Licang and Sifang- over the past three years are expected to be highlighted at the fair. Some of these projects have come to an end, while others are close to completion.
The ninth Shandong International Building & Decoration Exhibition will be held during the fair, offering a variety of events and forums including the “Standards of Harmonious Communities Forum”, the “Lecture on Purchasing Houses and the Evaluation of Apartments” and the “Fancy Living in the Revived City Summit”.
The annual event, which started in 2002, is gearing up to become a barometer for the city’s realty business.
