Shandong police catch 204 drunk drivers in one night
2009-08-27

Shandong police had a busy night August 25 after apprehending 204 drunk-drivers on city roads.

As part of their efforts in nabbing drunk drivers, Shandong police have called on communities, colleagues and family members to take part in the anti-drunk driving campaign to prevent serious traffic accidents.

According to authorities, if a driver is found to be intoxicated, his or her license will be suspended for three to six months and the driver will be detained for 15 days. If a drunk driver is caught twice within one year, his or her license will be cancelled for two to five years.
