A launching ceremony for Qingdao's international medical cooperation center, as well as a signing ceremony for 34 Chinese-foreign cooperation projects, was held in Beijing on March 27.

Mayor Zhang Xinqi delivered a speech at the ceremony, at which Qingdao's health and family planning commission and 11 local large hospitals signed deals with hospitals, medical institutions and related enterprises from Beijing, Taiwan, Singapore and the US.

So far, the eastern Chinese coastal city's hospitals have reached 66 cooperation intentions and 59 agreements with medical institutions and think-tanks from home and abroad since it launched a program to introduce quality medical resources to improve its medical and health levels.
