The city of Adelaide, capital of South Australia, paid a visit to the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province to promote its educational offerings, on Oct 21 with its education dept promoting cooperation with Qingdao.

One way of doing this was to select a Chinese student to study in Adelaide for free, according to Gail Gago, a minister for employment, higher education and skills in South Australia

There are already around 130,000 Chinese studying in Australia, making China Australia's largest source of overseas students, and Gago expressed the hope that this cooperation can increase exchanges and communications between the two countries’ students.
