The Color Run, a marathon race inspired by India’s Hindu Holi festival, was held at the Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition, Shandong province, on Oct 12, attracting thousands of visitors.

The participants took part in a 40-km (25-mile) run dotted with locations where colored powders were thrown over them. They were all awarded certificates by the International Leisure Sports Cooperation Organization.

“I was deeply impressed by the beautiful scenery in the expo park while running,” said one runner. When running, runners can breathe the fresh air of the Qingdao Expo and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
