The Qingdao Bureau of Commerce organized a delegation to investigate cooperation opportunities on metro construction with Singapore and Hong Kong on September 18.

The Qingdao government accepted an invitation from the International Enterprise Singapore and Hong Kong Trade Development Council to visit the Mass Rapid Transport, Singapore’s premier multi-modal public transport operator, and Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway Corporation. The sides reached cooperation deals on metro construction and trade development through a number of bilateral negotiations.

During their visit to Singapore, Guo Jian, deputy director general of Qingdao’s Bureau of Commerce visited the Qingdao- Singapore International Industry and Business Center and expressed his hope that it could be put into operation as soon as possible.
