Qingdao's 2013 e-commerce transactions to reach 150 b yuan

Qingdao recently published its e-commerce model enterprise list, according to Qingdao Daily. Fourteen enterprises were given the title “Model Enterprise,” including Qingdao Commodity Trading Center Co. In 2013, Qingdao worked hard to develop its e-commerce industry. It cultivated and built model enterprises, promoted enterprise applications and set up an exchange platform. Its industry e-commerce platform has developed quickly. Estimated annual transactions for e-commerce may exceed 150 billion yuan ($24.8 billion) as of Dec 23, 2013.

Qingdao’s e-commerce platform has becomes a new way to integrate industrial resources. The e-commerce service institutes provide services such as information, payment, logistics, finance and IT operation services to support the traditional enterprises.

The e-commerce is constantly innovative. Mobile e-commerce is growing fast in the city. O2O model which integrates online and offline resources become the new favorites of traditional enterprises. The city is building an e-commerce eco-system with increasingly sophisticated technologies and apps.
