Qingdao National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone |
Founded in 1992, Qingdao National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (QNHIDZ) is among the first group of high-tech industrial development zones to be established in China.
Located at the northern shore of Qingdao City's Jiaozhou Bay, the zone’s development has been keeping in line with the strategy of protecting the environment and promoting development around Jiaozhou Bay, in a bid to make the bay the core of Qingdao Municipality.
Recent years have seen Qingdao National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone growing rapidly and it is now aiming to become an eco-technological center.
The zone is set to become a center focused on high-tech products like optical measuring instruments, photoelectric environmental protection equipment, optoelectronics, IC and photovoltaic materials and ocean engineering equipment. The zone will be split into areas, with one-third being open green space, one-third for industry and the rest for residential communities.
From the outset, this development zone was planned with ecological conservation in mind. It has been constructed in harmony with the natural environment. Numerous natural water systems, bays, estuaries and wetlands have been created, ensuring that residents and employees enjoy a superb working environment. The economic jurisdiction of the zone is at city-level, enabling investors to benefit from service tracking at every stage of production, a one-stop inspection and approval system and a favorable development environment resulting from the efficiency and transparency of a city-level government administration.
The Qingdao High-Tech Zone Regulatory Commission and its staff warmly welcome visitors from home and abroad to experience Qingdao for themselves. We believe any visit to the city will convince tourists and investors of the fantastic potential of the zone and of the bright future that awaits it.
