Polonnaruwa Agricultural Economic Center

In November 2016, Sinohydro and Sri Lanka's Ministry of Rural Economy signed a contract for an agricultural economic center project in Polonnaruwa. According to the contract, the Chinese will build an agricultural economic center along with other supporting facilities such as cattle farms, granaries, markets, rice mills, and husbandry training schools. The new center will consist of a main commercial complex of 240,000 square feet and an agricultural complex of 25,800 square feet.
