Poland to participate at China-CEEC Expo

Poland, one of the two guests of honor at the first China-CEEC Expo in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, will hold activities on Poland Day, June 9th, the expo declared.
The planned activities will include culture exhibitions, food fairs and concerts.
Additionally, Poland will organize a stamp exhibition and poster exhibition of Polish architecture and furniture in Ningbo Exploration Center during June 5-14.
The Polish Food Festival will kick off in Langham Place Hotel at Ningbo Cultural Square, where people are able to taste bigos, a Polish national dish. Known as a hunter's stew, it is a traditional meat and cabbage stew.
People who love classical music can enjoy a Polish band in Ningbo Cultural Plaza Grand Theater on June 9.
Poland, a country in Central Europe, has an area of 312,679 square kilometers and a population of over 38.5 million people.
The culture of Poland is closely connected with its intricate 1,000-year history. It has 14 heritage sites recognized on UNESCO’s World Heritage list and 54 historical monuments.
Ningbo and Poland have close ties. In October 2005, Ningbo and Poland’s Bydgoszcz announced that they would become sister cities.
Ningbo mainly exports clothing, lighting apparatus, yarn and textile products to Poland, while imports from Poland include amber products, chocolates and wine.
The total foreign trade volume between Ningbo and Poland increased just over 20 percent in 2014 compared to the previous year.
