Shenyang will enhance regulations of mobile street food vendors this year in an effort to improve organization and better enforce existing laws.
The city will deploy a joint management team to determine individuals responsible for mobile food vending on each street they operate. The team will carry out its duties daily with action time adjusted for seasonal changes. In the summer, the team will operate until 10 p.m.
The Shenyang government will establish a real-name responsibility system and maintain records of problems encountered by schools and campuses where mobile street food vendors operate.
Each law enforcement branch and city law enforcement bureau will verify the party responsible for each school’s service area using a real-name responsibility system.
Many Shenyang residents are seeing the demarcation of areas intended for mobile street food vending, registering vendor information, and determining vending areas, hours and product types. These measures will regulate the operation of food vendors in the city while improving convenience for the general public.
