Juicy and sweet Hanfu apples are ripe for picking in Faku county in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province.
Zhang Chunfang, a fruit farmer from Shuangtaizi village claimed it had been an excellent harvest this year. He has 30 mu (hectares) of apple orchards, with an annual output of around 5,000 kilograms; and all his apples have already been bought and sold, earning him a good profit of around 150,000 yuan ($22,600).
Due to characteristics such as a juicy pulp, sweet taste, high output, good return, and an ability to grow in a cold climate; growing Hanfu apples is a priority for Shenyang’s fruit growers.
Statistics from Shenyang forestry bureau reveal that with a cultivating history of more than 15 years, Shenyang has over 1,800 apple orchards, covering an area of around 400,000 mu. This year’s output of Hanfu apples is 15,000 tons.
Faku’s Hanfu apples are mainly sold to supermarkets in Shenyang, and those in Hunan province and Shanghai municipality through e-commerce platforms.
